It’s funny how most of my friends have their birthday in the last 3 months of the year, the numbers increasing as the year closes. Is it true for most of the world?
Today is Ginny’s birthday. We went to Pali Village Café to bring it on – partly because we read good reviews, but mostly because of Ginny’s yearning for celebrity spotting. It was Monday night, well who would we spot anyway?
Right next to Janata bar (easy to ask directions for), it has an unimpressive façade – we almost missed it. But the cosy bungalow ambience grows on you, as does the Caribbean music (was it?). Food we thought was good but so overpriced, pizza by the slice, not so filling. Mostly for drinks and snacks, a tradeoff between the stomach and the wallet.
So many more birthdays to come. Such fun!
