Moving to a New Year

I turned a year older on December 11 (To quote a cliché – I stopped counting after I was 30) and it was a good day. More people remembered and called me than usual and I also had a cake cutting at 12! Imagine that. On a day like this, when I am remembered with much fondness and good wishes, it brings me less discomfort, that ah well, I am after all, growing older.
I was planning New Years at Egypt this time, but GAdventures decided to break my heart and get all abrupt and weird about it. So, I am going to Sikkim instead next week and then spending New Years at Kolkata with my folks, which will be fun too in its own way; it has been a while since I was home for Christmas and New Years.
I love December; it is the best month of the year. It houses my birthday, it is cold (but not so much in Mumbai) and every mall, home, building is decked with glitters and lights. So, so awesomely festive. And there is a new year to look forward to, with new possibilities, more travel, love and friendship, great achievements and new beginnings.
Sikkim, Kolkata and 2014. And then who knows, what else.
